আজ তোমাদের জন্য English For Today পাঠ্য বইয়ের Unit-4 এর অন্তর্ভুক্ত Leisure Time থেকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Vocabulary এবং True /False নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে যাচ্ছি।
Tamal : Hi, my friend! Nasreen and I are reporters for the English Club Magazine. Would you mind answering some questions?
Sima: Sure. No problem. It’s my pleasure.
Tamal : Could you tell me your name and which class you are in?
Sima: I'm Sima.I'm in Class 5.
Tamal : How do you spend your leisure time, Sima?
Sima: Well, I like to walk in the park.I also like to sing.My cousin lives in the UK. Sometimes, I talk to her and her friends on the internet.
Nasreen : So, talking on the internet keeps you connected.
Sima: That’s right.
Tamal : ( to Biju) Hello! Can I ask you the same questions?
Biju: My name's Biju and I'm in Class 5, too.I love swimming. It keeps me fit. I also like painting. I'm not very good, but painting makes me happy.
Tamal : What about reading? Do either of you like reading?
Biju: I do, I often read magazines in my free time. I like magazines about sports, especially football and cricket.
Sima : Oh, I like to read,too. I love reading funny stories, especially stories of Nasiruddin Hojja.
Vocabulary ( শব্দ ভান্ডার)
Reporters - persons who work with any newspaper, magazine, tv, radio etc and prepare real stories or documentary of anything ( যাঁরা কোনো সংবাদপত্র, সাময়িকী, টিভি, রেডিও ইত্যাদিতে কাজ করেন এবং কোনোকিছুর বাস্তব কাহিনী বা তথ্যচিত্র নির্মাণ করেন)
Magazine - a published literary work in which articles, rhymes, poems, jokes, biographies, journies, hobbies etc are presented ( একটি ছাপানো সাহিত্যকর্ম যাতে প্রবন্ধ, ছড়া, কবিতা, কৌতুক, জীবনবৃত্তান্ত, ভ্রমণকাহিনী, শখ ইত্যাদি তুলে ধরা হয়ে থাকে)
Pleasure - anything that makes someone glad ( কোনোকিছু যা কাউকে আনন্দিত করে)
Spend - pass ( কাটানো)
Leisure time - free time ( অবসর সময়)
Park- a specific place where people pass time gossiping ( কোনো একটি নির্ধারিত জায়গা যেখানে লোকজন গল্পগুজব করে অবসর সময় কাটায়)
Cousin - children of aunts and uncles( চাচী/ ফুফু/ খালা/ চাচা/ ফুফা/ খালুর সন্তান)
UK- United Kingdom ( যুক্তরাজ্য)
Internet - worldwide computer network providing information and communication facilities ( বিশ্বব্যাপী কম্পিউটারের পারস্পরিক সংযোগ যা তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ সুবিধা প্রদান করছে)
Swimming - an art of being floated in water by moving hands, head and legs ( হাত,মাথা ও পা নাড়িয়ে পানির উপর ভেসে থাকার কৌশল)
Painting - drawing something ( কোনো কিছু আঁকা)
Sports - competitive events that let our body get moisture and make body fit ( যে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতাপূর্ণ কাজগুলো আমাদের শরীরকে ঘামায় এবং ভালো রাখে)

Nasiruddin Hojja- a famous writer of jokes and stories who was alive in 13th century in Turkey ( তেরো শতকের বিখ্যাত একজন তুর্কি কৌতুক ও গল্প লেখক)
