পঞ্চম শ্রেণির পড়াশোনা, ইংরেজি - Unit9:Occupation

 

প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থী বন্ধুগণ,

আশা করি তোমরা মনোযোগ দিয়ে পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছ। তোমাদের জন্য 'English For Today ' পাঠ্য বইয়ের Unit-9 এর ' Occupation ' text টির Vocabulary (শব্দভাণ্ডার) ও কিছু Answering Questions (প্রশ্নের উত্তর প্রদান) নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে যাচ্ছি।

A long time ago, Razu was in class 5, there were a fire in his school. Everyone was very afraid, but no one panicked. The teachers helped the students to leave the building quietly and safely. Soon the firefighters came and put out the fire. Razu watched the firefighters from the school yard.He thought about the fire and the firefighters for a long time. After college, Razu joined a volunteer fire department. As a volunteer, he didn't get any money for his work. But Razu didn't mind.

Now Razu is a full-time firefighter. It is his job, so he earns money for it. Most of the time his work is putting out fires, but he also teaches new firefighters about safety. He likes teaching very much. In his free time, Razu visits schools. He talks to students about fire safety. He tells them what to do if there is a fire. They shouldn't panic. They should listen to their teachers and leave the building quietly.

afraid - become frightened - ভীত হওয়া, panicked - become puzzled with fear - ভয়ে হতভম্ব হয়ে যাওয়া, quietly - without any hue and cry - কোনো ধরণের শোরগোল ছাড়া, firefighter- person who puts out fire as his job - যিনি পেশাদার হিসেবে আগুন নেভানোর কাজ করেন, thought - took any idea into mind - কোনো ধারণা মনে আনল,  volunteer - a person who does a job as a passion or duty but doesn't get money for it - যে  ব্যাক্তি শখ অথবা কর্তব্য হিসেবে টাকা ছাড়া কোন কাজ করে, department - a group or team who work to achieve same goals - একই লক্ষ্যে যে দল বা গোষ্ঠী কাজ করে 

A. Answer the following questions:

1. When was a fire in Razu's school?  Ans: When Razu was in class 5, there was a fire in his school.

2. Why everyone was afraid in Razu's school? Ans: Everyone was afraid because there was a fire in his school.

3. Who helped the students to leave the building? Ans: The teachers helped the students to leave the building.

4. Who put out the fire? Ans: The firefighters put out the fire.

5. Why have Razu become a fire fighter? Ans: When there was a fire in Razu's school,he saw the fire fighters. He thought about the fire and firefighters for a long time. He set  firefighter's job as his aim in life and has become a fire fighter.

6. What does a fire fighter do? Ans: A fire fighter puts out fire and sometimes teaches new firefighters about safety. 

7. What does Razu do in his free time? Ans: Razu visits schools in his free time.

8. What does Razu talk to students? Ans: Razu talks to students about fire safety. He tells them what to do if there is a fire.

 9. What does Razu like very much? Ans: Razu likes teaching very much.

10. What should you do if there is a fire in your school? Ans:  If there is a fire, we shouldn't panic. We should listen to our teachers and leave the building quietly.
